What does a blue sapphire ring cost?
Our 34 blue sapphire rings range from US$984 to US$20,000. Half cost less than about US$3,180.
- Entry pieces with small accent sapphires start just under US$1,000, such as the 18K yellow gold ring with tiny blue sapphires and diamonds.
- The middle of the range is cluster and centre-stone rings with diamonds, such as this cluster sapphire ring in 18K white gold.
- At the top are large centre stones: our 4.33 carat blue sapphire and diamond ring is US$20,000.
Is a 1 carat sapphire ring always the same price?
No. Three of our rings have a blue sapphire of about one carat, and they cost US$1,770, US$6,924 and US$7,626. The stone weight is similar; the difference comes from the stone's colour and quality, the gold and the diamonds around it. Carat weight is only one part of the price.

What sets the price of a sapphire?
- Colour. An even, saturated blue costs more than a very pale or very dark stone.
- Clarity and cut. Fewer visible inclusions and a well-proportioned cut that returns light both add value.
- Carat weight. Price per carat rises as stones get larger, so one 2 ct stone usually costs more than two 1 ct stones.
- Treatment. Many sapphires are heated to improve their colour. This is a common, accepted practice, but an unheated stone of the same appearance costs more. Ask for treatment to be stated in writing.
- Certificate. A report from an independent gem laboratory adds cost and tells you exactly what you are buying.
Gold weight and design
Every ring in our collection lists its gold weight in grams, so you can compare like with like. A heavier band, a halo or a row of side diamonds adds both material and setting work. Most of our sapphire rings are in 18K gold; a few are in 14K.
What does a diamond ring cost?
Our 37 diamond rings range from US$800 to US$8,100, and half cost less than about US$1,700. Slim 18K rose and white gold bands such as this 18K rose gold diamond ring start at US$800, while larger designs such as the diamond cluster ring in 18K white gold are US$8,100.
Engagement ring budgets
Our engagement rings currently range from about US$380 to US$9,630. Fifteen are under US$2,000, six are between US$2,000 and US$5,000, and eleven are US$5,000 or more. If you want a stone chosen just for you, a custom ring is quoted after a consultation.
