1. About these terms

This website, christinajewellers.com, is operated by Christina Jewellers ("we", "us", "our"). By using the site, booking a consultation or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Shipping Policy, which form part of these terms.

3. Using the website

You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes. You must not try to interfere with the site, gain unauthorised access to it, or use it to send harmful or unlawful material. We may suspend access to the site, or refuse service, where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.

4. Products and descriptions

We describe each piece as accurately as we can, including its metal, gemstones and weights where known. Gemstones are natural materials, so colour and inclusions vary from stone to stone. Photographs, screens and lighting can change how a colour looks; the piece you receive is the piece described in the listing. If you need details beyond the listing, ask us before ordering.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars unless your checkout shows another currency. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout before you pay. Duties and import taxes vary by destination and are not included unless your checkout says so; contact us before ordering if you need to check what applies to you. Payment is taken through Shopify's secure checkout. We reserve the right to correct pricing or description errors and to cancel an order affected by such an error, with a full refund of anything you have paid.

6. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm and dispatch it, or confirm it in writing. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is no longer available, and will refund any payment in full.

7. Custom and made-to-order jewellery

For custom and made-to-order rings we start with a consultation, then prepare a 3D design for you to review and approve before anything is made. An initial 60% deposit is required to start production, and the balance is due once your piece is complete and ready for delivery or collection. If you cancel before you approve the 3D design, we refund your deposit in full. Once you approve the design, production starts and the deposit is non-refundable. Because custom and made-to-order pieces are made for you, they cannot be returned, except where the law gives you a right to return them.

8. Ring sizing

After you buy a ring, we contact you to confirm your ring size. Any charge for additional gold will be confirmed with you before resizing.

9. Consultations

Consultations are free and carry no obligation to buy. They take place online via Google Meet or at our Colombo showroom by appointment. Ideas, sketches and photos you share are used only to help design your piece.

10. Shipping and delivery

We ship as described in our Shipping Policy and email tracking information when your order is dispatched. If you need a piece for a particular date, email us before ordering.

11. Returns and refunds

You can request a return within 30 days of receiving your order, as set out in our Refund Policy. Sale items, gift cards and custom or made-to-order pieces cannot be returned. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the consumer law that applies to you.

12. Intellectual property

The content on this site, including photographs, designs, text and logos, belongs to Christina Jewellers or its licensors. You may not copy or reuse it for commercial purposes without our written permission.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this site or our products. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

14. Links to other websites

The site may link to third-party services such as Calendly, YouTube or Instagram. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. If you are a consumer, you also keep any protection given to you by the mandatory law of the country where you live.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, with its "last updated" date, applies to orders placed from that date.
