Choosing jewellery as a gift: a short guide
Tiffany WijepalaShare
Jewellery is one of the few gifts that is worn for years. A little planning makes it easier to choose well.
Start with what they already wear
Look at the metal colour of the pieces they wear most, yellow, white or rose gold, and at whether they prefer small everyday pieces or something bolder.
Pick the type of piece
Earrings and pendants don't need a size, so they're the safest surprise. Rings need a size. If you're not sure, choose the closest size: we contact you after purchase to confirm it, and any charge for extra gold is agreed before resizing.
Choose a stone with meaning
A birthstone, a favourite colour or the stone from a special trip all make a piece more personal. Sapphires come in many colours, not only blue.
Make it yours
If nothing in the collection feels right, we can design a piece around a stone, a sketch or a photo.
